Swift Springs Introduces New 14" Tight Helix Coilover Springs for Pavement and Dirt Racing
Swift Springs continues to expand its innovative Tight Helix (TH) suspension lineup with the introduction of two new 14-inch x 2.5-inch ID Tight Helix Coilover Springs. Available in 150 lb/in and 175 lb/in spring rates, these latest additions provide racers with even more tuning options for maximizing mechanical grip and improving chassis response.
Developed to meet the needs of both pavement and dirt racers, the new springs are designed specifically for left rear applications on Super Late Models, Pro Late Models, and Late Models, while also serving as an excellent right rear option for Northeast Dirt Modifieds.
Developed for Today's Racing Conditions
The newest Tight Helix springs were engineered for racers competing on slick, low-grip racing surfaces where traction can determine the outcome of a race.
By expanding the TH lineup with a longer 14-inch option, Swift gives teams additional flexibility when tuning suspension travel, ride height, and chassis balance across multiple racing disciplines.
Whether competing on asphalt or dirt, these springs are designed to help drivers maximize forward drive while maintaining the consistency required throughout a race.

Engineered with Swift Tight Helix Technology
Unlike conventional coilover springs, Swift's Tight Helix design utilizes a unique combination of increased coil count, a flatter pitch angle, and the company's proprietary HS5.TW spring steel to produce faster suspension response and improved mechanical grip.
The result is a spring that opens more quickly under load, allowing the suspension to react faster as the car transitions through the corner and accelerates onto the straightaway.
These engineering advantages make the new 14-inch TH springs particularly effective when racing conditions become dry and slick.
Designed for Performance
The new 14-inch Tight Helix springs incorporate several engineering features that distinguish them from traditional coilover springs:
- Faster opening speed than conventional coilover springs
- Increased coil count for improved suspension response
- Flatter pitch angle for enhanced chassis performance
- Proprietary HS5.TW spring steel engineered for durability and consistency
- Equal coil spacing for predictable, linear performance
- Straight spring profile for consistent installation and operation
- Engineered for use with 1-inch spring rubbers
- Reduced stroke design for quick suspension response
Together, these features provide racers with improved traction, better forward drive, and more confidence when tuning suspension setups for changing track conditions.

New Spring Rates and Specifications
| Part Number | Spring Rate (lb/in) | Usable Stroke | Max Stroke | Max Load |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 140-250-150 TH | 150 | 9.2" | 9.6" | 1,441 lbs |
| 140-250-175 TH | 175 | 9.0" | 9.4" | 1,654 lbs |
The addition of these new spring rates expands Swift's Tight Helix coilover lineup, giving racers additional options for fine-tuning suspension performance across a variety of chassis combinations and racing conditions.
